Extra Tuesday Draw
Special draws are additional lottery draws held on selected Tuesdays throughout the year, on top of the regular Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday draws. They give players an extra chance to win each month.
Government Approved
Special draws require approval from Malaysia's Ministry of Finance (MOF). Only government-licensed operators — Magnum, Sports Toto, Damacai, Sabah 88, CashSweep and STC — are permitted to conduct special draws.
Around 8–12 Per Year
The total number of special draws approved by MOF is typically between 8 and 12 per year. The exact count and dates are announced by the government and can vary from year to year.
Same Prize Structure
The prize structure for special draws is identical to regular draws — 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes, plus 10 Special and 10 Consolation prizes. The odds of winning do not change on a special draw day.

About special draws
4D Special Draw in Malaysia — Everything You Need to Know
The 4D Special Draw is an additional lottery draw held on selected Tuesdays in Malaysia, approved by the Ministry of Finance (MOF). Unlike regular draws which take place every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday, special draws are limited to around 8 to 12 times per year, making each one a sought-after opportunity for Malaysian 4D players.
Special draws were first introduced in 1999 under the Barisan Nasional government as a measure to raise additional funds for national needs, including disaster relief efforts. Since then, they have become a regular part of the Malaysian lottery calendar, with players eagerly tracking the schedule to ensure they don't miss out on an extra chance to win.
All six government-licensed operators participate in special draws — Magnum 4D, Sports Toto, Da Ma Cai (Damacai), Sabah 88 Lotto, Sarawak Cash Sweep and Sandakan Turf Club (STC). The prize structure and winning odds remain exactly the same as regular draws — the only difference is the day of the week.
