What is Singapore Pools

About Singapore Pools 4D

Singapore Government-Owned

Singapore Pools was founded in 1968 as Singapore's only legal lottery and sports betting operator. It is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Tote Board under Singapore's Ministry of Finance, established specifically to provide a safe, legal alternative to illegal gambling syndicates.

Multiple Games Including TOTO

Singapore Pools offers 4D (four-digit lottery), TOTO 6/49 (pick 6 numbers for a jackpot), and Singapore Sweep (7-digit prize draw). Unlike Malaysian operators, Singapore Pools also accepts bets on international football matches and motor racing.

Online & Mobile Betting

Singapore Pools offers full online betting via their website and mobile app, more digitally advanced than most Malaysian operators. Players with a Singapore Pools Account (age 21+) can bet on 4D, TOTO and other games from anywhere, with results instantly available online.

Getting started

How to Play Singapore Pools 4D

Singapore Pools 4D follows the same core rules as Malaysian 4D, but with unique bet types like iBet and 4D Roll that aren't available from Malaysian operators.

1

Choose your bet type

Singapore Pools offers five ways to play: Ordinary Entry (one exact number), System Entry (all permutations), 4D Roll (replace one digit with R for 10 numbers), iBet (any permutation wins) and QuickPick (computer-generated random number).

2

Pick Big or Small

Big bet covers all 23 winning numbers (1st, 2nd, 3rd + 10 Starter + 10 Consolation) at lower payouts. Small bet covers only the top 3 prizes but pays significantly more. Minimum bet is SGD1 inclusive of GST.

Payouts

Singapore Pools 4D Prize Structure

2nd Prize 1 number SGD 1,000 SGD 2,000

Smart play

Tips for Playing Singapore Pools 4D

Singapore Pools has unique bet types and rules not found in Malaysian 4D — here's what every player should know before placing a bet.

1

Understand iBet — Singapore Pools' unique permutation bet

iBet is unique to Singapore Pools, it wins when ANY permutation of your chosen 4 digits matches a winning number. Unlike Malaysia's iBox which is a fixed-cost bet, iBet prizes vary based on the number of permutations in your chosen number. Numbers with repeated digits have fewer permutations and therefore higher iBet payouts per win.

2

Try 4D Roll for broader number coverage

4D Roll is exclusive to Singapore Pools, it lets you replace one digit in your number with "R", which covers all 10 possible values for that digit position. For example, R345 covers 0345, 1345, 2345...9345 — 10 numbers in one bet. This gives broader coverage than a single ordinary entry at a proportionally higher cost.

3

Note the 6:30 PM SGT draw time (earlier than Malaysia)

Singapore Pools draws at 6:30 PM SGT, 30 minutes before Malaysian operators which draw at 7:00 PM MYT. Since SGT and MYT are both UTC+8, they are the same clock time. This means on draw nights, Singapore Pools results are available at 6:30 PM, followed by all Malaysian results at 7:00 PM.

4

Prizes are in SGD, factor in the exchange rate

Singapore Pools prizes are paid in Singapore Dollars (SGD), not Malaysian Ringgit (MYR). While the nominal prize amount (e.g. SGD 2,000 for 1st Prize Big) appears lower than Malaysia's RM 2,500, the SGD to MYR exchange rate means the actual value in ringgit is considerably higher. Always check the current SGD/MYR rate when comparing prizes.

5

Buy tickets in Singapore ffrom authorised outlets

Singapore Pools tickets must be purchased from authorised Singapore Pools outlets in Singapore, or via an official Singapore Pools Account online (age 21+ with Singapore ID verification required). Malaysian players physically in Singapore can purchase at outlets. Never buy from unlicensed Singapore lottery agents, your ticket will be invalid and prizes unclaimable.

About Singapore Pools

What Is Singapore Pools and How Does It Differ from Malaysian 4D?

Singapore Pools was established in 1968 as Singapore's only legal lottery and sports betting operator, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Tote Board under Singapore's Ministry of Finance. Unlike Malaysian operators which are privately licensed companies, Singapore Pools is government-owned and was created specifically to provide a safe, legal and controlled betting environment to counter illegal gambling syndicates that were prevalent in Singapore in the 1960s.

The 4D game follows the same core mechanics as Malaysian 4D: players pick a 4-digit number between 0000 and 9999, and win if their number matches any of the 23 drawn results, but with key differences. Prizes are paid in Singapore Dollars (SGD), not Malaysian Ringgit. The draw takes place at 6:30 PM SGT, 30 minutes before Malaysian operators. Singapore Pools also offers unique bet types not available in Malaysia: iBet (wins on any permutation match with variable payouts), 4D Roll (replace one digit with R for 10 number coverage) and full online betting via the official app for account holders aged 21 and above.

Beyond 4D, Singapore Pools offers TOTO 6/49, a jackpot game where players pick 6 numbers from 1 to 49, with a minimum guaranteed jackpot of SGD 1 million, and the Singapore Sweep, a 7-digit lottery draw held monthly. Sports betting on international football and motor racing is also available. All surplus from Singapore Pools operations is channelled through the Tote Board to fund arts, education, sports, social services and community development across Singapore.

4D Today tracks Singapore Pools 4D results every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday, with updates at 6:30 PM SGT alongside all Malaysian operator results at 7:00 PM MYT. This makes it easy for Malaysian players tracking both Singapore and Malaysian 4D results to check everything in one place. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What is Singapore Pools 4D?

Singapore Pools 4D is Singapore’s official 4D lottery, operated by Singapore Pools, a government-owned company and wholly-owned subsidiary of the Tote Board under Singapore’s Ministry of Finance. Players pick a 4-digit number between 0000 and 9999 and win if it matches any of the 23 drawn numbers. Draws take place every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday at 6:30 PM SGT.
Singapore Pools 4D draws at 6:30 PM SGT every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. This is 30 minutes earlier than Malaysian operators which draw at 7:00 PM MYT. Since SGT and MYT are both UTC+8, the actual clock time is the same: 6:30 PM for Singapore Pools, 7:00 PM for Malaysian operators, all on the same evenings.
iBet is a unique Singapore Pools bet type where you win if ANY permutation of your chosen 4 digits matches a winning number. Unlike Malaysia’s iBox where the cost and payout are fixed, iBet payouts vary based on how many permutations your chosen number has. Numbers with repeated digits (like 1122) have fewer permutations and therefore pay more per win than numbers with all different digits.
4D Roll is another unique Singapore Pools bet type where you replace one digit of your 4-digit number with the letter R. R covers all 10 possible values for that position (0–9), giving you 10 different numbers in one bet. For example, R345 covers 0345, 1345, 2345…9345. You can only replace one digit with R per bet.
Singapore Pools prizes are paid in Singapore Dollars (SGD), not Malaysian Ringgit (MYR). The 1st Prize Big pays SGD 2,000 per SGD1 bet, and 1st Prize Small pays SGD 3,000 per SGD1 bet. Due to the SGD to MYR exchange rate (typically around 1 SGD = 3.4–3.5 MYR), the actual value in ringgit is considerably higher than the nominal SGD amount.
No. Singapore Pools does not have Tuesday special draws like Malaysian operators. The regular schedule of Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday draws is fixed throughout the year without additional special draw Tuesdays.
Singapore Pools 4D results are available on 4D Today at 6:30 PM SGT on every draw night, alongside all Malaysian operator results at 7:00 PM MYT on the same page. You can also check results on the official Singapore Pools website or via their mobile app.
Besides 4D, Singapore Pools offers TOTO 6/49 (pick 6 numbers from 1–49 for a jackpot with SGD 1 million minimum guarantee), Singapore Sweep (7-digit monthly prize draw), sports betting on international football leagues and motor racing, and Scratchit instant win tickets.
Yes. Singapore Pools is a government-owned company, fully regulated by Singapore’s Ministry of Finance and Tote Board. It is the only legal lottery operator in Singapore. All surplus revenue is channelled to community causes through the Tote Board. Players must be 18+ for outlet purchases and 21+ for online account betting. Always gamble responsibly.
